Stephanie Gilmour

Stephanie is an ecologist with over two years of experience working under the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM). She has experience conducting targeted fauna and flora surveys and ecological assessments across a range of habitats throughout New South Wales, with a strong interest in threatened species conservation, wildlife connectivity, survey design, and planning.
Stephanie completed her Honours research at the University of New England, investigating the effectiveness of wildlife underpasses across New South Wales. Her research examined the factors influencing fauna use of wildlife crossings to improve road infrastructure design, reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions, and enhance habitat connectivity. Through her education and consulting experience, Stephanie has developed strong skills in fauna survey methodologies, species identification, ecological assessment, data analysis, and technical reporting, and enjoys contributing to practical conservation outcomes across New South Wales.
